DSI9983VTL makes industry standard high speed disks appear as virtual tape drives
and libraries to backup servers attached to an iSCSI/IP or Fibre Channel (FC) storage
area network (SAN). No changes are made to the existing backup software, thereby
preserving backup policies and IT staff’s operating knowledge. The DSI9983VTL is
certified with leading backup applications to maximize compatibility and ensure
fast, seamless deployment. The DSI9983-S96 connects to a DSI9983VTL CLUSTER
providing data de-duplication to cost effectively store the growing amounts of
data being managed.
